Anyway, yesterday I returned from a weekend spent with the Witkinds back in Montevideo. I had a lovely/relaxing time. (Didn't bring any schoolwork with me.) Since I began my new temporary life on this continent in Uruguay, I kind of felt like I was going 'home,' which was nice. Also nice was the endless food cooked by the maids and the turn-down service (haha, no joke.) The Passover seder was nice, if small (and quiet - no mom's solo singing layered with cousin Eric's inappropriate jokes and everyone else's desire to EAT.) I also made some pistachio-coated, toffee-chocolate covered matzah. Overall, a successful weekend.
These upcoming three weeks are going to be filled with adventures, I'm going to be traveling all over (Mendoza, Bariloche, Jujuy, 3 consecutive weekends) so I'll take pictures and let you know how things went, as usual.
Also, my next blurb about what I'm reading probably won't come for another thirty years, since I just started Michener's The Source, a definite tome that right now takes place in ancient history. Good so far, but not exactly the fastest read. It's coinciding nicely with the audiobook I'm listening to on my ipod right now, Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies. Pretty drastic change from all of the light comforting fiction I was reading at the beginning of my time here. But good reads nonetheless.
Until the next!

My Dear Sweet Ariellita,
I must take exception about our seders. They are lively and full of laughter and joy.... If you want I can make you a CD of my singing so you feel like you are home.
Travel Safe.
