The e-mail that brought you here.

As you might have heard, I embark on February 6th to spend a semester as a
student in an Argentine University as well as a resident of Buenos Aires.
Studying abroad as a sophomore at Wesleyan is a requirement for my major
(COL.) I'm pretty excited.

Instead of sending out periodical e-mails about my life that some of you
requested, I have decided to start a blog documenting my travels and
experiences. I hope to update it at least semi-regularly (whatever that
means,) and to both write about my escapades as well as post photos from
them.

The first 2 weeks in South America are not a part of the CIEE program
that's facilitating my time as a student in BA. During these weeks, I will
be staying with Jani Witkind (our old foreign exchange student) and her
family at their beach home in Punta del Este. I know what you're thinking
- I have it rough. Don't worry people, I'll tough it out.

Anyway, I plan to start posting on my blog once I get down there. So, if
you're interested, feel free to read my electronic life chronicles for the
semester (or for the rest of my life, depending on whether or not I decide
to move to S. America forever.)

Of course you're welcome to e-mail me questions or complaints or anything,
or to post comments onto the blog. Since I'll have my computer while I'm
away, we can IM (airgoldengrl,) or, alternately, I have a Skype username
for when you just need to see my beautiful face. Just let me know.
So, I leave in about a week. If you're in Akron, hopefully I'll see you
before I go. Everyone else, have a good semester/spring/summer. See you at
the end of July when I get back. If I get back.
Come visit me.

Love,
Arielle

PS. I'll be sure to attach pictures of all my forthcoming tattoos,
piercings, and brandings.

PPS. I realize blogging reflects the new obsessive egoism of our society
and promise to try not to write endlessly about my mundane thoughts and
only include what you want to know.
